The past 10 years, the world has changed. Globalization and advancements in technology has brought our world closer together. Lowering the geographical and cultural barriers has removed cultural issues and has allowed us to turn our focus from race, physical appearance and sexual orientation to simply our ability to get the job done.


The world has changed a lot, this encompasses the way of communicating as well, and you no longer rely only on your phone. Today’s managers and business owners are expected to be updated and prepared to respond long emails in an instant. They should also be able to tweet, update on LinkedIn, post on Facebook, attend skype meetings, speak to different groups of employees, prospective clients and the list goes on and on.


But even though change often provides new opportunities, many individuals still reject the idea. While some people thrive on change; others will do all they can to resist it. But change is going to come. The digital transformation has morphed from a trend to a central component of modern business strategy. You only need to look at how the role of cloud computing in 2016 has evolved in order to understand.


Altering our behaviour takes time and the power of habit in the human brain makes change really hard – also when it comes to change at the workplace. Therefor it’s no easy matter to learn new skills, new routines and new ways to think. It’s demanding in terms of  energy, recourses and it relies on our basic need for equilibrium. Still, team Relesys is seeing change as a constant in business today. Because when looking back on the past years, technological advancements has pushed our world towards the future.


Embrace the change 

The cost of having a phone, tablet or laptop with wireless connection everywhere, is that you’re no longer able to be “out of office” anymore. We live in a multi-media world and for managers to communicate with different audiences when and wherever they are is essential. The ability to evolve and adapt is therefor an important characteristic of forward-thinking companies. In other words, to stay competitive (while keeping the stress level relatively low), business owners and managers need to evolve with and embrace the changing times.


Back in 2014, the founders of Relesys, Jesper and Jens-Ole still worked in the retail section. Back then they saw the need for a change within business operations in order to adapt to the digitalization. The outcome: The Relesys Performance App.


Having the opportunity to chat with different groups of employees, working on an online collaboration, share knowledge, files and data, track projects and invoices, share experiences, give feedback and stay updated and motivated with one single device wasn’t possible 10 years ago. The Relesys App is truely an all in one application.
